143 applications. 106 companies. 4 real-life HR challenges. 4 winners. 3 global companies. 1 pitch day. The HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse is the first of its kind, inviting tech players from around the world to take part in coming up with solutions to real-world HR challenges.

As technology influences and transforms our industry at a faster pace than ever, HEINEKEN aims to be the world’s most connected and employee-centric e-brewer. As a result, the business of managing Human Resources (HR) is experiencing a surge of tech innovations which is why HEINEKEN is running its first ever HR Brewhouse event in collaboration with Accenture and TNW X. The purpose of the HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse is to drive technology-enabled innovations within the global HR sector and find inventive solutions to real-world HR problems.

On September 11th, HEINEKEN put out a call for tech disruptors and industry experts to send in their solutions to four pre-identified HR challenges which have been recognised as the most critical to the company’s employee agenda. The submissions closed on September 23rd and the final took place on October 4th. And the winners of each of the respective categories are:

In this challenge, we are looking for solutions to draw actionable insights from employee feedback and understand their sentiment, promote recognition of employee success across the company and encourage activities that benefit the health and wellness of our employees.


Wildcard solutions within HR

The Wildcard is an open category and your chance to get creative. If you think you have a similar solution to the HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse competition but the solution does not fit exactly within the core challenges listed above, we still want to hear from you!



All solutions must be directly applicable to HR and at least one of the categories listed above. If your solution applies to more than one challenge, please apply to all relevant challenges. Solutions must be scalable across APAC, including HEINEKEN’s operations in the Philippines, Korea, Myanmar, East Timor, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand and Vietnam.
